Do I need any technical skills?
None. If you can type your store name and click a few buttons, you can launch a storefront. Our AI assistant can even add products for you. Just describe them in plain English.
What's the catch with the free plan?
There is no catch. The free plan gives you a beautiful product menu with your branding. It shows a small "Powered by Traffic Stores" footer, and doesn't include online ordering (cart/checkout). That's it. No time limits, no product limits, free forever.
Can I accept online payments?
Yes! Commerce and POS plans include Stripe checkout for secure online payments. For regulated industries like cannabis, online payment processing isn't available due to compliance restrictions — instead, customers place orders online and pay at pickup or delivery.
Do I need a separate POS system?
Not at all. Traffic Stores works independently as a standalone storefront. But if you want an in-store POS register, cash drawer management, full inventory, and reports, you can upgrade to the POS plan at $99/mo. Your online store syncs automatically with your in-store system.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes, on the Commerce plan ($59/mo). Point your domain's CNAME record to us, and we handle SSL automatically. On the free plan, you get a subdomain like yourstore.trafficstores.ca.
Does this work for cannabis stores?
Absolutely. Traffic Stores has deep cannabis support built in — strain types (Indica/Sativa/Hybrid), THC/CBD percentages, terpene profiles, effects, medical benefits, compliance tools, and age verification. But it works just as well for any retail business — boutiques, restaurants, grocery, vape shops, and more.
What happens after my 30-day Commerce trial?
You'll be prompted to subscribe to keep Commerce features (online ordering, custom domain, no branding). If you don't subscribe, your store automatically drops to the Free plan — your menu stays live, you just lose ordering capability. No data is deleted.
Is my data stored in Canada?
Yes. All data is hosted on Canadian infrastructure. We take data sovereignty seriously — whether you're running a retail shop or operating in a regulated industry.
